Welcome to our page, and thank you for considering us to be part of your special day! Blooms by May is a local, family owned florist. We are no stranger when it comes to weddings! We have a high booking rate, with over 90% of couples opting to book with us after a consultation. We have done small, backyard weddings with only a brides bouquet and a boutonniere to large, very extravagant weddings at the Banff Springs Hotel containing parties of 5+ bridesmaids, groomsmen, pew markers, centrepieces, floral garlands, and more. May Crain, our lead designer, will do an initial consultation with you at no charge to get an idea of your colours, budget, flower types, and what floral pieces you are looking for! May has over 6 years experience in the floral industry, doing everything from small bouquets, looking after customers, weddings, graduations, funerals and more. In the 5 years Blooms by May has been in business, we have done over 90 weddings.
Wedding FAQ'S
Q: Can I bring my own vases?
A: Of course! As long as they are brought in at least 1 week prior to the wedding, and we know the size at time of order, you are more than welcome to bring your own containers.
Q: How much notice do you need?
A: Ideally, 1-2 months. Of course, this depends on what you are looking for. If you simply want red roses, we are likely able to help you in less than a month. If you are looking for a certain shade of peony, a month or more is ideal.
Q: How much does a wedding cost with you?
A: It really depends on what flowers you pick, how big your bridal party is, and if you need centerpieces or other floral items. If you choose carnations and babies breath, it will be a lot less expensive than lilies and peonies. We have done weddings for as little as $150, and as high as $5,000. The average spend is between $600-$1200.
Q: Can I bring my own accessories?
A: Yes! Brides have brought everything to me from ribbon or lace of their own, to seashells, to small fake gems.
Q: Do you rent vases?
A: Yes! However, our rental collection is quite small and more suited to intimate weddings. Please inquire with May directly to see what we have on hand.
